FAQ

What should I wear / bring to class?

Wear shorts or leggings that do not restrict your movement - avoid baggy bottoms that hang over your ankles. The class is done in bare feet. You will need to bring your own yoga kit, however if you are not ready to commit to buying your own, you are welcome to borrow one (or any individual parts you are missing) by contacting me ahead of your first class to arrange pick up from a central location in Wotton under Edge. Water should not ordinarily be consumed during a class as this can interfere with the asana (posture) work. Please remember to bring any essential medications to class, such as asthma inhalers and epi-pens.

Beginner's or Level 2?

Beginner's classes are suitable for new starters or those with some experience who prefer to work on the introductory postures. Level 2 is for practitioners with a minimum of 1 year's experience of Iyengar Yoga. You should be able to practice a stable sarvangasana (shoulder stand) for 5 minutes and be familiar with how to set it up. Practitoners from other schools of yoga should start with some beginners classes to learn this. If in doubt please contact me to talk it through.
